The sanatorium "Clear glade" is located strong in the former manor "Alexandria" and constructed in 1834-1840 on the project Elsona and V. Gunta for the personal friend of emperior Alexander I, the minister of national education of 20-30 of the XIX Art. Alexander Nikolaevich Golitsyn. The building of a palace of a manor is constructed in neogothic style with a winter garden and a big open verandah. At the end of the XIX century the manor was got by S. V. Panin delivering to an imperial table wine from Gaspra's the countess. In 1901-1902 in a manor "the colossus of Russian literature" - count Lev Nikolaevich Tolstoy who was here together with the family was treated and here finished the story "Hagi-Murat". To it repeatedly there came A.Gorky, A.Chekhov, I.Bunin, F.Shalyapin, etc. figures of literature and art. In 1922 in a manor the sanatorium was open for treatment of scientists. In honor of L.N.Tolstoy since 1947 the sanatorium was called "Sun Glade".
The sanatorium is located in the foothills Ai-Petri at height of 180 m above sea level. Total area of a park zone of sanatorium - 18 hectares. Unique on the Southern coast of the Crimea the health resort constructed in specially taken away medical zone as sanatorium of mother and the child. In inter-season period in sanatorium the school teaching in which is conducted by skilled teachers according to the Russian general educational program functions.
